The COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on tourism throughout the world. To ensure that tourism and business activities can resume safely and responsibly, action must be taken to provide sufficient information and guidance to businesses to safeguard the health and safety of tourists, and to make sure both tourists and everyone involved in the tourism industry are fully committed to following healthy and safe practices. - Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland
It is of paramount interest to all Helsinki Guides' Association members to conduct their activities safely during the coronavirus pandemic. By following the government guidelines we can ensure the safety of guides and customers and reduce the risk of infection as domestic tourism reopens. The Association keeps a keen eye on any further developments on the pandemic situation and will inform its members and customers accordingly.
Our guides will work with groups of 10-20 people and we shall endeavour to keep safe distances of 1-2 meters to each other within the group. We all wear face masks or visors and many will also use amplifiers when available.
Please remember that one must not attend a tour if one has even the slightest symptoms of the virus.
